Ek Paheli Leela

Looking at the twist in the climax, Ek Paheli Leela starring Sunny Leone could have been a fair enough thriller if it had a better cast, writer and director. But unfortunately (or I should say unsurprisingly) the focus of both camera and content is on the private parts of the leading lady and thus becoming a very shoddy feature film. The T-series style of packing songs that are pleasing in to a dull content has been followed here.

The story is basically this Magadeera type reincarnation based one. Meera, who is a super model in London comes to Rajastan for an ad shoot and a lot of significant changes happens in her life. At the same time, her friend Radhika’s brother Karan, who was having horrible dreams visits a baba and on his advice arrives at Rajastan. The reason behind the restless nightmares of Karan and the link between that and Meera is what this movie all about.

While you watch the movie, you can easily understand one thing that what they first composed in mind was the songs and steamy sequences. The scenes are so disjoint with the flow of the movie and at regular interval of time there will be an irrelevant steamy scene. The content is also quite outdated and you will predict 90% of the movie easily.

Sunny Leone like in her previous movies is pathetic with acting and generous in showing off. The decision to make her dub in her own voice was a shocking one.  The rest of the cast mainly comprises of the daily soap stars who either emote very less or do an over acting exercise. While Jay, Mohit and Rajneesh had a cold face, Jas Arora and VJ Andy made their character unnecessarily eccentric. Sharp Shooter (with an awful track record) Rahul Dev is also there in this lust focused movie.

Bobby Khan is only interested in capitalizing the presence of a star like Sunny Leone in his movie and he has succeeded tremendously in that. Script is outmoded and dialogues are too amateur. Production design looked great. Music was also nice. Cinematographer and costume designer has made sure that the cleavage is visible in every frame.

Overall, it’s just skin show packed in a predictably dull story line. The rating for the movie is 1.5/5. From songs to scenes, everything is already there on YouTube. Don’t waste your money.
