Jism 2

They call this movie an erotic thriller. Jism 2 is no way near being called either erotic or a thriller. It’s a lame story with an utterly torturing narration. Apart from some BGMs created from the tracks of the movie there is nothing in the movie that can satisfy any kind of audience. It is a typical over melodramatic “thriller”. Sunny Leon factor can only create some hype. But the movie is bizarre one.

The story is revolving around the female character Isna played by Sunny Leone. Isna is assigned to a mission by Indian Intelligence to get data about major terrorist operations from a terrorist Kabeer who has kept it in his laptop. Isna is chosen for this mission because she is the ex lover, in fact the only girl in Kabeer’s life (how lame!). Isna and Intelligence agent Ayaan (Arunoday Singh) decides to stay in a house next to Kabeer’s house in Goal (Sri Lanka) with Ayaan having a fake identity. Mission is to distract Kabeer, get a chance to get the data from his laptop and finish him. How the mission is achieved is all about the movie.

Even the outline of the movie itself sounds childish. With Pooja Bhatt trying to give ethical emotions to a central female protagonist who claims to be a porn star in the first dialog of the movie, the digestion of many emotions becomes far too difficult. The screen play is a test of patience with dialogs that are too much philosophical and highly melodramatic. The predictable story line is another negative.

On screen, Sunny Leone is utterly boring as an actress. All she have done in this movie is occasional stripping, kissing and shaking her head while delivering dialogs with eyes full of glycerin, some call this acting. Randeep Hooda impresses with his mysterious Kabeer avatar. Even though the character suited his style, the way he acted in the first song was utterly boring. Arunoday Singh was not up to the mark. Arif Zakaria was given a role that never used his talent.

Technically the direction is an outdated one. Everything about the making was typical. As I mentioned earlier the script was a total downer. The soul of the movie is the intensity of Kabeer and Isna’s relationship. Pooja Bhatt’s way of showcasing it in a steamy way was not at all adequate. Tracks aren’t up to the mark while the BGs created from them are somewhat interesting.

Overall, Jism 2 is a lame movie with a childish storyline and poor script. Skin shows are accepted when they have something called content. This one is an outdated crap. I am giving 1.5/5 for this Pooja Bhatt film. Don’t go for this movie for pornographic pleasure, because there isn’t anything other than the videos you saw in YouTube.
