Nasha

nasha-reviewAfter entering the industry with the John – Bipasha starrer erotic thriller Jism, director Amit Saxena is back with another film with erotica. This time with Nasha, he moves away from the thriller genre and concentrates more on the lusty emotions. With a very brittle story line and a leading lady who finds it difficult to put expressions on her face, Nasha is a disappointing work.

The story basically revolves around the character Sahil. He is eighteen and is in that phase of transformation to an adult. He has his close friends and he also has a girlfriend who loves him sincerely. On a summer vacation, the school plans a camp and the newly joined arts teacher Anita chooses Sahil and his friends to perform a play. Sahil goes to that stage where he starts to fantasize about him and Anita and that lust becoming love at a particular moment complicates his feelings. The dramas that happen in this relationship are what Nasha all about.

The dullness of the content is mainly due to the lame attempt to portray lust as love. To showcase such unconventional love, you need real reasons. The transformation was quite abrupt and Nasha falls into those B Grade movie standards were a mere story thread is used to show flesh. The movie started off in a slightly promising way similar to those Italian classics like Malena. But films like Malena had something beyond mere physical pleasure.

Poonam Pandey as the leading lady is really a huge disappointment and those scenes were she kind of shouts at others, sounded quite funny. Shivam and the rest of the youngsters in the film did an impressive job.

Direction isn’t that catchy and the attempts to make things steamy were totally unconvincing. The script as I said just moves on like those B Grade films. Cinematography is good. Music was also nice. What actually impressed me was the background score; it was really a catchy one but sadly it was totally out of sync of the movie’s level of intensity.

Overall, it’s a lame story to show some heat on silver screen. It’s not going to please you with its content and even the skin show is not enough to satisfy that section of audience. My rating is 1.5/5 for this twitter hit. Don’t get fooled by the posters.
