AADHAMINTE MAKAN ABU

Saw AADHAMINTE MAKAN ABU from Calicut “Sree” today. The guy in front of me got the last balcony ticket.. So sat in the lower section. But the audience was standard and silent. FULL HOUSE!!

AADHAMINTE MAKAN ABU proves one thing that to make a world class film we don’t need to go for global themes. Our own village stories is more than enough. The film is about Abu, a man who strongly believes in his religion in a very positive way, who wants to go for Hajj.

There are no villains in the film. The only villain is Life. Please dont think this is an ART movie. Its a movie like MAMMOOTTY- BLESSY teams KAAZCHA, no similarities in theme.. But both films has strong content, Songs, Natural Humor etc. Never felt Bored!!

Salim Kumar has delivered a stand out performance. Another two special mentions would be Mr. Gopakumar and Suraj Venjaramood. By far Suraj’s Best performance. Short but kind of haunting role!

In the second half there are some sharp dialogues about life and relations which made the audience applaud.
Almost all actors has delivered a thumbs up performance!! Serina Wahab, Mukesh, Nedumudi Venu, Gopakumar, Kalabhavan Mani and Suraj all delivered a standard performance.

Direction and Screenplay are fluent. Most of the time camera is still, but the frame captures all the beauty. Engaging BGM. Nicely mixed songs.

In short AADHAMINTE MAKAN ABU is a small wonder. SALIM AHAMMED surely has a bright future. My rating is 4/5

Audience giving Loud Round of Applauds at the end of a so called ART film. Megastar Mammootty postponed his films release by a week so that this film will get the required attention. So much is happening in the industry. So what are u waiting for?
Please go and watch this beautiful movie.

Final Thoughts

In short AADHAMINTE MAKAN ABU is a small wonder. SALIM AHAMMED surely has a bright future.
