Housefull 3

Who really cares about reviews is indeed a good question about a movie franchise like Housefull. In its third segment, Housefull 3 directed by Sajid Farhad duo is a skit that can’t be called as an entertainer cinema. The idea is pretty much like the first two parts and here also we get to see juvenile story getting stuffed with pathetic dialogue jokes.

Batook Patel is a millionaire in the UK who has three daughters. Patel doesn’t want his daughters to get married as marriages haven’t ended in good results in the family. The story here basically focuses on the incidents that happen after the arrival of the boyfriends of each of these girls to convince Batook.

Four or five boys of the age of around 15 were there among the audience and they were laughing like mad for all those translation jokes. I really envy those guys! To be able to laugh like that for such lame jokes is indeed a special talent according to me. They might have removed Sajid Khan from the director’s chair seeing the condition of Himmatwala and Humshakals, but Sajid and Farhad hasn’t really done anything that will make you say Sajid Khan would have made it worse. Script is just trying to make fun of black people and the disabled. As always the trademark signature dialogue for each character is there which occasionally works because of the comic timing of the actors.

Sajid and Farhad had won audiences heart earlier with films like Chennai Express, where their kind of low IQ humor works in favor. But here it is dull and boring. For most of the desperate jokes, I was either smirking or giving that facepalm expression. Misogyny, racism and crude offensive jokes are abundant in the content. This is not a movie where you tend to look in to aspects like cinematography and edits. Music btw is worthy of being used as party songs.

I am not being sexist, but the only performers in this movie were the male actors. Akshay Kumar, Abishek Bachchan and Ritesh Deshmukh had the charm to be energetic throughout this dull movie. Jacky Shroff looked like a guy who wasn’t supposed to be there. Boman Irani was nice as the Millionaire Patel. But the ladies were undeniably pathetic. While Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon were struggling to have any expression on their face, Jacqueline Fernandez became the queen of overacting.

So to sum it up, Housefull 3 has some very discrete moments of wit that tries to entertain you. It would have been okay if I was watching the Kapil Sharma Show. But as a movie, Housefull 3 is miserable. Watch it only if you have found the other movies in the franchise as bearable ones.
