Breaking Dawn – Part 2

Twilight is one fantasy franchise that couldn’t impress me in a mesmerizing way. Its neither my fault or the themes plot. In comparison to the previous parts on this saga, I felt this last outing of the vampires as a satisfying one with good amount of bliss and of course less amount of romantic melodrama.

This time the plot is centered on Edward and Bella’s daughter Renesmee. Volturi’s law doesn’t allow vampires to have or keep children and it’s a crime. Irina finds Bella and Renesmee along with Jac and informs the Volturi. Knowing this through Alice, the Cullens decides to get the maximum support from their vampire friends by getting a testimony for Renesmee that she is not a threat to the breed. How the Cullen’s and their friends manage to turn down the Volturi from their decision to kill the Cullens for the crime is all about the movie.

Bella’s turn over into the Vampire mode itself gives the movie a kick on the right place that will make the audience engaged. With enough of vampire stuff and of cause with the intro of many other vampires gives the movie a non typical Twilight feel. The movie never goes to a big high in terms of melodramatic emotions or adrenalin rush. A matured Jacob and Edward give the movie a sense of coolness. As always the pace in which these dramatic things are happening was a bit disturbing. And also the familiar super hero type assembling of the 18 vampires was also a bit disappointing.

On screen I believe everyone is still in the same shape. Nothing is there to be said as great or phenomenal. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and the rest was satisfying as always with their limited emotions.

In the making I believe Bill Condon has managed to make this movie in an engaging manner. There is a bit of added energy in the script and he has rightly showed it on screen. Cinematography is cool. VFX is kind of ok for me. It showed some hiccups in the beginning portion of new born Renesmee. BGM and edits were also in sync.

On the whole  The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is a treat for its fans, satisfying for the neutral and won’t impress the haters of the franchise. I am giving 3/5 for this vampire show off. I feel they have ended the saga on an appreciable node. NOTE: It’s a personal opinion.
